Evidence Translation and Use

Translating complex research findings into implications for action

We get really excited about evidence use and how to support it. We excel at distilling often complex research findings into clear and meaningful conclusions. And we recognize that research evidence comes to decisionmakers in all kinds of forms, and is not the only factor that leaders must weigh when making decisions. Leveraging years of experience working in schools combined with training and experience in rigorous research, we thrive at working with partners to bring clear research conclusions into conversation with local considerations to make sound decisions that support students and systems. We have experience doing this work through a range of mechanisms and formats, from one-time convenings to short research briefs to ongoing continuous improvement processes

Understanding and Improving Implementation

We have designed and carried out collaborative research and evaluation projects with district and state education agency partners and with non-profit youth organizations, helping them understand the current status of program implementation and directions for productive growth and improvement. This work has included a focus on programs ranging from early learning access for multilingual children to college preparation for first-generation youth in urban contexts.
